Dear Sir/Mdm, please advise. Can a person who served 3 years consecutively in the Joint Management Committee (JMC) to be elected again to serve in the newly formed Management Committee? I believed that some management companies are trying to justify it by saying that they did not contravene the Strata Title Act as the newly formed management committee will start afresh. The reason is that it is a different committee now. I feel it defeated the purpose of Strata Title Act to dictate that a person can only serve for 3 years consecutively. After all MC is a continuation of JMC. What can a resident do if this happen in a condo? Please advise. Thanks.
