Hi, I have just experience a property agent who collected the booking deposit from buyer without informing me, the agent only informed me 2 days later the price sold is what I asked for and at the same time requested me for referral fee on top of the 3% agency commission, the reason given was because the lead (buyer) was intro by a someone and this person convinced the buyer to buy my property with the price that I asked for and taken so much effort & time to close the deal. I personally think it is unethical to asked for extra money and it is against the real estate agent code of ethic. I have rejected the offer and can advise what action I can take on against this agent?
