Hi my condominium has been banning people from using the lifts at the corner end of the building for more than 5 years now in the name of reducing cost. Only cleaners can use the corner lifts. They have done this without consulting the owners. I realized that it was an inconvenience to me to go to my parking especially right now i have a 2 yr old and a 4 yr old. We have to do a big U turn to go to the center lift and we walk to my parking space near the corner building. When i bought the corner unit the developer said the lifts at the corners are actually for the residents use and not just for the cleaners and i paid premium for the corner lot. And the corner lifts are suppose to make it easier for the corner owners to go to their parking space. I asked management either to let me park at the visitor parking space that would be safer for my kids or turn on the corner lifts for me to use. I said they can use my original parking as visitors parking. It seems they don’t want to do this and threaten to clamp my car for parking at the visitor space. I have received warnings already and a few more they will clamp my car. And this rule was suddenly done when i have been parking at the visitors space for a few years now. And it was for safety of my family. And there are not many visitors park in our condo anyway. Anyhow my question is can i force them to turn on the lifts? I didn’t agree to it and if they said to decrease cost they increase the maintenance fee for all residents 5 years ago. I am very vexed at the management. Can i report them to a proper authority?
