Hi,
Recently, I visited a showroom and the agent wanted me to place a booking. I have a quite a good impression of the project but said I needed to visit the site first before placing any booking fee. They say ok and locked in a unit for me first.
After the visit, I decided to cancel the unit as the surrounding is quite eerie. Now, the agent wanted to collect a penalty fee, saying it's from the developer side.
Would appreciate your clarification if I am legally required to pay for the penalty? or is it the agent fault for not collecting the booking fee?
Thank you.
