hi, tenant paid deposit (1 mth rent + rm100 utility)to rent my middle room for 1st July on 29th May and 12th June cancel renting because want to bring whole family rent whole unit somewhere else and so wants his deposit back partly but i say all deposit will be forfeited in this case..no contract sign and no verbal agreement on this cancellation refund mention before he paid deposit .he did not ask regarding this matter also..is this right for owner to forfeit his deposits? thank you
