I am seller , today just sign The SPA but why the solicitor only give us 9%of deposit and kept the earnest deposit?

You should have asked the lawyer directly. If it is for RPGT retention, lawyer will hold back 3% if the property is owned by Malaysian and 7% if foreigner owned. It could also be payment towards the lawyer's fee or real estate agent's fee? Read More
