I had signed letter offer to purchase a property with estate agent. the vendor had signed too. but the vendor didn't answer my lawyer called even though i got my mortgage loan approval (Before BLR interest rate increased). so i had no choice that i did caveat the property until now 5 months later. The vendor called the agent suddenly said that the property already sold to another purchaser and the purchaser's lawyer wanna do transfer ownership, they realized that i already caveat. Now the vendor keep ask me to cancel it... Any one can advise me, Apart from request refund double of 3% deposit and what else could i ask for compensation claim to the vendor? Please kindly advice, Thanks
