I own a apartment in a high end condo in Mont Kiara. I leased my unit to a company that runs AirBnB operations. Recently the condo MC passed a rule prohibiting "short term" rentals at the recent EGM. A due date to cease operations was set and has passed. The MC barred the access cards to units under the AirBnB operator even though there are no outstanding amounts to be settled by the owners of the unit. This is not as per Strata Management (Maint& Mgt) Regulations. The MC only informed us after 7 days by sending an invoice for penalty charges for not following house rule. They offer no proof to indicate my unit was occupied by short term renters. What are my options?
