I paid RM2000.00 as a booking fee to the developer. According to the developer, my booking fee is deposited into developer's HDA account. I received VP letter from developer. My bank has fully disbursed the loan to developer. However, before I can collect my keys to the service apartment, I am asked to settle a miscellaneous invoice which consist of 2024 quit rent, assessment, fire insurance, SAJ (water meter deposit and connection fee) and Borang I from Majlis Perbandaran Pasirt Gudang. Why can't developer deduct this miscellaneous invoice amount from my RM2000? Is it legal for the developer to ask for this payment though I have a credit amount with the developer?
