I rented a room in one apartment, half year contract. Part of of the agreement was high speed internet, as I rely on it heavily for my work and studies. For 2 months no internet. Finally when they installed internet, it was too slow, not the speed they promised with excuse of company having technical difficulties. They never even offered compensation of any kind and I've lost too much money. I said I cant stay there as there is no decent internet connection, but ill find someone to replace me to finish off contract. They agreed. I told them about my friend and who he is (a student), they agreed. After cleaning the room and moving all my stuff out - on the day he should move in, they asked for his passport and got angry upon seeing his nationality. Accused me of lying. Did not even want to talk to me on the phone and was screaming and hung up. He texted me "Get out of there and I will not refund your deposit" To cut long story short - I made police report, went to court filed claim and now have a court date. Would like professional opinion on this matter. TQ
