I've put 10% down payment for a property but 1.5 years later developer decided to abandon project. There's compensation offered & discount given to take up another house in a nearby location. However house offered as alternative is much more costly & I'm not keen. I've requested for a higher compensation as I believe my loss of opportunity is higher than the compensation offered. This was rejected by the developer. What's the next course of action I can take & how do I assess if the compensation is fair or otherwise?
