My friend was married and bought an apartment in Malaysia. Only my friend had his name on the paper, his wife didn't. Now he wants to sell that apartment, so does the wife hold a portion of ownership of this property? In my country, the property acquired during the marriage period will be a joint property regardless of who is named. How about Malaysia?
