My neighbor has rented for more than 5 years at RM500 in a sub-rural area of Selangor. Recently. the owner wants to increase the rent to RM800. During the 5 years of renting, the owner never did any infrastructure repairs even though the neighbor has informed the owner many times to do so. What are my neighbor's rights as he still wants to live there?
