The lawyer, who did my deed of assignment for successful bid of medium cost apartment bank auction, quoted me for subsequent perfection of transfer of strata title with a discount of 25% of the full amount. I believe this isn;t following the solicitors remuneration order. Secondly in her quotation there is also a stamp duty to be paid as disbursement (1% of the auction purchase price). Checking my files I already paid this 1% in my previous deed of assignment. Is this a joke every time I got to pay stamp duty on the property? Can somebody help me on these 2 questions. Thanks
