We bought a "Guarded" landed property with "Individual Title". The Management only allow 3 access cards for each house regardless of the size. We have 4 cars and the 4th car need to register at the guard house for each entry.
Our written and verbal requests to purchase the 4th access card for our 4th car have been rejected many times.
Reason given is not enough parking space but we bought a corner unit which can park 3 cars at the porch and 1 car outside our gate which will not cause any traffic congestion within the community at all. Instead we are required to register our 4th car for each entry to our own home.
Recently the Management conducted a survey and the outcome is not favorable to homeowners who have 4 cars. 90 residents agreed, 14 rejected and 148 did not respond and deemed not agreeable.
Owning a property is a long term commitment and having to register to come into our own house is definitely not a solution.
Is it legal for the Management to deny us the 4th access card even though we have the parking space? Also can Management ask the residents to register at the guard house for each entry? Please advise as to what we can do to purchase the 4th access card as the Management just refused to listen to our predicament. Thank You!
