PRESS RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE VITAHEALTH & TROPICANA'S OFFLINE 16 MOVEMENT SURPASSES 1,900 PARTICIPANTS, CHAMPIONING MENTAL WELLNESS THROUGH ESG
  • Since its launch in 2024, the OFFLINE 16 ESG movement by VitaHealth and Tropicana has grown into one of the region’s leading community-driven mental wellness initiatives, engaging over 1,905 participants across Malaysia and Singapore.
  • Held on 12 July 2026 at Tropicana Golf & Country Resort, the OFFLINE 16: Dance & Busking Festival inspired more than 260 participants to unplug, reconnect, and celebrate mental wellness through music and dance.
  • More than just an ESG initiative, OFFLINE 16 continues to encourage healthier lifestyles by inspiring individuals to disconnect from the digital world, reconnect with themselves and others, and cultivate stronger communities.
Petaling Jaya (13 July 2026) – Since its launch in 2024, OFFLINE 16 has evolved from a simple digital detox challenge into one of the region’s leading ESG-driven mental wellness movements.
Jointly championed by VitaHealth Malaysia (“VitaHealth”) and Tropicana Corporation Berhad (“Tropicana” or the “Group”), the initiative encourages individuals to unplug from the digital world and reconnect with themselves, one another, and their communities through meaningful offline experiences.
To date, OFFLINE 16 has successfully engaged more than 1,905 participants across Malaysia and Singapore, accumulated 54 cumulative offline hours, and earned recognition in the Malaysia Book of Records, reflecting the growing demand for community-based mental wellness initiatives.
Kicking off its third consecutive year, the latest flagship event—OFFLINE 16: Dance & Busking Festival—was held from 9:00am to 5:00pm on 12 July 2026 at Tropicana Golf & Country Resort (“TGCR”), attracting more than 260 participants for a vibrant day of music, dance, and community engagement.
Co-organised by Australian-owned supplement brand VitaHealth and community builder Tropicana, with the support of main retail partner Watsons, the festival celebrated music and dance as universal forms of expression, inspiring participants to step away from their screens, embrace the present moment, and foster genuine human connections.
As digital dependency, cyberbullying, online scams, and mental health concerns continue to rise, OFFLINE 16 demonstrates how businesses can complement national efforts by creating accessible, community-based platforms that encourage preventive mental wellness while strengthening social connections.
Dr KS Beh, Chief Executive Officer of Vita Life Sciences (Malaysia & Singapore) and Founder of OFFLINE 16, said: “At VitaHealth, we are guided by our brand promise, ‘Healthy Life, Happy Vibes’. With close to 80 years of heritage as a trusted nutrition brand, we remain committed not only to delivering quality supplements but also to championing meaningful initiatives that inspire healthier, happier lifestyles. What began as a simple challenge encouraging people to put away their phones and reconnect with life has since grown into a broader mental wellness movement, a core part of our ESG commitment.
Today, OFFLINE 16 is more than just about being offline. It is about embracing self-care, building healthier habits, staying active, and making wellness part of our everyday lives. Our goal is to build a community where Offliners can step away from their busy schedules, connect in real life and experience the joy of being fully present. We hope every Offliner leaves with a fresh perspective, a healthier habit, and a positive change that lasts beyond the event.” Serena Lim, Programme Director of Tropicana Foundation and Senior General Manager, Group Corporate Communications and ESG for Tropicana, said: “This marks our third year partnering with VitaHealth, and the journey has been truly rewarding— from achieving a Malaysia Book of Records milestone to now inspiring almost 2,000 participants nationwide. More importantly, the impact goes beyond numbers. It is about shifting mindsets, encouraging healthier, less device-dependent lifestyles, and strengthening meaningful human connections.
Recognising a strong alignment between OFFLINE 16 and Tropicana’s ESG commitments as a community builder, we are proud to continue supporting this movement. Ultimately, our purpose extends beyond developing homes. We aspire to create healthier, more connected, and resilient communities where individuals and families can truly thrive.
Anchored on our ESG pillars of People, Planet, and Partnership, OFFLINE 16 reflects our commitment to creating meaningful placemaking, strengthening communities, and building lasting partnerships that deliver positive social impact.” Throughout the eight-hour festival, participants immersed themselves in engaging offline experiences designed to help them unplug, recharge, and reconnect through movement, music, and meaningful human interaction. The event featured energetic dance workshops and performances, Zumba, Piloxing, live busking performances, a recycling workshop, a dedicated wellness zone, a mental wellness hub, and a variety of interactive games encouraging participants to embrace the present moment.
Participants also received exclusive goodies worth more than RM300, healthy meals, finisher badges, e-certificates, GPA insurance coverage, and the opportunity to win more than RM15,000 worth of lucky draw prizes, making the festival a memorable celebration of wellness, community, and authentic human connections.
This year’s event was made possible with the support of main retail partner Watsons, alongside valued partners including the Malaysian Mental Health Association (MMHA), Team Namja, Malaysian Buskers, Precious Plastic Malaysia, Sekret Studio, Ceradan, Dermally, Watsons Collection, Herbs of Gold, Malaysian Buskers, HealthLand Family Wellness Centre, T Privilege, Tropicana Golf & Country Resort, Tropicana Foundation, D Swim Academy, Dododots, and many more.
Building on the strong momentum achieved over the past three years, VitaHealth and Tropicana will continue expanding the OFFLINE 16 movement through new wellness experiences and strategic partnerships, inspiring more Malaysians to embrace healthier lifestyles, strengthen human connections, and prioritise mental wellbeing.
