ISKANDAR PUTERI, 21 September 2026 – (TP) on the opening of its new operation at Menara IIB, marking another milestone in the continued growth of Medini’s Global Business Services (GBS) ecosystem.
The new operation expands TP’s presence in Malaysia alongside Kuala Lumpur and Penang, and will support customer experience, digital operations, and revenue services for businesses in Singapore and the wider Southeast Asian market.
TP’s decision to establish its operations at Menara IIB further strengthens Medini’s proposition as a strategic location for regional business services. Located within the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone (JS-SEZ), the area benefits from its proximity to Singapore, established connectivity and a growing commercial environment.
“We warmly congratulate Teleperformance on the opening of its new office at Menara IIB and are delighted to welcome them to Medini,” said Dato’ Idzham Mohd Hashim, President and Chief Executive Officer of Iskandar Investment Berhad.
“For IIB, TP’s presence is another step in strengthening Medini as an end-to-end business ecosystem where companies can establish, operate, and grow. Our role is to create the conditions that support this growth while ensuring that each investment contributes to the wider development of the area.
“Companies need more than office space. They need access to talent, business support, residential options for their employees and commercial amenities that support their day-to-day needs. Bringing these elements together is key to creating an environment where businesses can grow for the long term.
“Within this broader ecosystem, GBS plays an important role by strengthening the capabilities and support available to businesses and creating stronger connections across the business community. Together, these strengths reinforce Medini’s proposition as a competitive base for regional and international companies.”
This broader ecosystem approach is supported by initiatives such as GBS Iskandar@Medini, which brings businesses, industry partners, and relevant stakeholders together to strengthen the GBS community and support its continued development.
Since 2013, 47 GBS companies have established a presence in Medini, supporting approximately 7,200 jobs. The ecosystem includes established companies such as Startek Malaysia, Vistra, Deluxe Games Inc, Maybank Ageas Holdings Berhad (Etiqa), and Katoen Natie Sdn. Bhd., reflecting the diversity and depth of the GBS community. TP’s new operation is expected to add to this employment base while further strengthening the range of capabilities within the ecosystem.
This growing base has helped deepen the talent pool, strengthen business networks, and generate demand for local services and suppliers, creating a multiplier effect that supports further investment and broader participation in the area’s continued growth.
The JS-SEZ further reinforces this proposition by creating a broader platform for economic activity across the Johor-Singapore corridor. For Singapore-headquartered businesses, multinational corporations and GBS operators, Medini offers a complementary location from which to expand capacity and serve regional markets.
TP’s opening at Menara IIB therefore represents more than the launch of a new office. It is a milestone for TP, a welcome addition to the GBS community and another step in IIB’s efforts to strengthen a business ecosystem that supports sustainable economic growth.
IIB looks forward to supporting TP as it grows its operations and to sustaining the momentum this opening brings. By continuing to attract businesses that add depth to the ecosystem, IIB aims to strengthen Medini’s position as a strategic base for regional growth.
