By Road

Bangsar is situated central to several major highways, with easy accessibility to these routes via Jalan Bangsar and Jalan Damansara.

To the north and west lies the E23 Sprint Expressway, providing convenient access to the popular suburbs of Desa Sri Hartamas and beyond.

To the south and east of Bangsar is the busy Jalan Syed Putra, part of Federal Highway, which offers access north to Kuala Lumpur City Centre, and west towards Port Klang via the townships of Bandar Sunway and Shah Alam.

Bangsar also enjoys access to the New Pantai Expressway (NPE), providing a direct route south to the Subang Jaya neighbourhood and onward connections.

By Public Transport

Bangsar is well served by public transport, with an MRT station to the north, and LRT in Bangsar connecting to the LRT Kelana Jaya Line at the Bank Rakyat-Bangsar station.

Pusat Bandar Damansara MRT station connects to the MRT Sungai Buloh–Kajang line, or SBK line, connecting destinations from Sungai Buloh, through Bandar Utama, Bukit Bintang, Cheras, and out to Kajang in the southeast of Kuala Lumpur.

Bangsar LRT also provides the hub for onward travel in Bangsar, with a taxi terminal conveniently located on the ground floor. It is also home to a bus terminal, with onwards connections throughout the Klang Valley on Rapid KL bus services. The nearby Mid Valley Megamall also provides a free shuttle bus to the mall from Bangsar LRT. 

The LRT in Bangsar is just one stop south of the rail and travel hub of KL Sentral station, providing easy onward travel on national and local rail services. Here you can also find the KL Ekspres, providing direct rapid travel to KL International Airport.

With its proximity to nearby Brickfields neighbourhood, Bangsar is also extremely well located to access the travel hub of KL Sentral station by road.

By Air 

With its prime location south of KLCC, residents of Bangsar enjoy a relatively simple journey to Malaysia’s central aviation hub at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA). Convenient access onwards to the Maju Expressway (MEX) highway puts locals at KLIA in just a 45-minute drive. Easy access to KL Sentral train station offers a simple alternative route utilising public transport via the KL Ekspres service.

Residents of Bangsar can also access the more limited flight offerings available at Subang Skypark, or Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport, which is located just 20 minutes’ drive to the west of the Bangsar neighbourhood.
