Centria is the next component of the famed PJ Midtown, a development located in the heart of Section 13 of Petaling Jaya. It is a project of collaboration between IOI Properties, Sime Darby Property and Brunsfield International, which has garnered great interest from the public.


Centria is to be a serviced apartment that carries a commercial title but is governed by the HDA. This will mean that despite its commercial title, residents will not be charged commercial utility rates. Centria will sit on leasehold land, and will comprise a sole tower of 30 storeys that houses 383 units. The units will range between 613 sq ft and 1,227 sq ft in size and carry a launch price of over RM500,000. Centria is expected to be completed in the year 2019.

Project Details

Centria is one of the best located developments on Jalan Kemajuan of Section 13 in Petaling Jaya. It is to be a leasehold serviced apartment that is sited on commercial titled land, but residents will need to only pay residential utility rates as Centria is governed by the HDA.

Centria will comprise a single block of 30 storeys, which will house a total of 383 units. Each floor will be served by 3+1 lifts. Buyers will have 3 different types of units to choose from, sized between 613 sq ft and 1,227 sq ft. Type C is the smallest unit within Centria, at only 613 sq ft with 1 bedroom. This is followed by Type B, which is sized at 915 sq ft.


There are however 2 options to Type B, which the first option comes with 2 bedrooms, while the second option comes with 2 bedrooms and 1 study plus an option to renovate. Type A is the largest unit with 3 bedrooms. Every unit will come with between 1 and 3 parking lots.


As of May 2018 the launch price is yet to be announced, but is anticipated to be above RM500,000.

The list of facilities that residents will get to enjoy is however already out, and they include conveniences such as a kindergarten room, meeting room, library and multipurpose hall. There are also healthcare facilities such as a jogging bath, gymnasium, tennis court and swimming pool. The price of the facilities is RM0.33 per sq ft, inclusive of sinking fund.

The major selling point of Centria @ PJ Midtown is its location in the heart of the city of Petaling Jaya. It is located in a matured neighbourhood, and is surrounded by neighbourhood shopping malls such as Jaya Shopping Centre, Jaya 33 and Jaya One.

Just almost opposite the development is the Sekolah Kebangsaan Sultan Alam Shah 2 one of the more outstanding schools in Petaling Jaya for school going children between the ages 7 and 12, and just slightly further is the secondary school of Sultan Abdul Samad for school going children between the ages 13 and 17.


Other school options in the area include the Bukit Bintang Boys’ Secondary School the secondary school for boys, and the SMK Assunta the secondary school for girls. Institutions of higher learning can also be found within short distances from Centria, with the closest being University Malaya (UM) and the International Islamic University Malaysia.




Medical institutions are another amenity that can be found within walking distance of Centria @ PJ Midtown. The relatively new Columbia Hospital in Section 13 is only a short distance away opposite the International Islamic University Malaysia, and down the road is University Hospital a public medical facility, and the UM Specialist Centre just beside it, a specialist hospital.


Connecting residents of Centria to the various suburbs of the Klang Valley will be several highways and trunk roads. The main trunk road just outside of Centria is Jalan Kemajuan where the universities and hospitals are located along. A short drive down this road will get residents onto the Federal Highway. Other highways that are easily accessed from Centria is the SPRINT Highway and Damansara-Puchong Highway.


The local MRT station is Phileo Damansara MRT station about 5 minutes away, and the local hangout spot is at SS2 approximately 10 minutes away. Getting to KLCC from Centria will take only 20 minutes in clear traffic conditions, and Subang is just as near.
