Visitors can access this beautiful island of blue seas and white sands by sea or air. The Langkawi International Airport supports direct flights from overseas; where previously flights in were only from Singapore, flights from Guangzhou and Chengdu are now supported. Access by ferry is also entirely possible, via several points. The ferry departs to and fro Penang and Satun twice a day with travel times of 3 hours and 1 hour and 15 minutes respectively, and between Langkawi and Koh Lipe three times a day with a travel time of 1 hour and 30 minutes.
