Lumi Tropicana was only launched on 29th November 2015, and was extremely well received with overwhelming crowds resulting in the majority of its units being sold out in two out of the three blocks within two days.

Lumi Tropicana is a creative new serviced apartment in the prestigious neighbourhood of Tropicana Golf & Country Club. Lumi Tropicana will be an epitome of luxury living with its fusion of contemporary designs merged with urban landscaping to satisfy even the fussiest tastes.
Tastefully designed by the same people who designed the iconic development of The Capers in Sentul East, Lumi Tropicana will be the feather in the hat with the same Singaporean architects hired for the project who aim to outdo themselves with Lumi Tropicana’s designs.
Lumi Tropicana is part of the Lumi Collections, which will consist of three main components – the serviced residences to serve as homes, the SoHo Suites to serve as bachelor pads or home offices and a lifestyle marketplace as a shopping and entertainment outlet. Quality is of the utmost importance at Lumi Tropicana. The SoHo units as of the end of 2015 were not launched yet but are rumoured to be held by the developers for lease to occupants, as will the retail lots be.
There will be four towers in the Lumi Tropicana collection inspiringly named Play, Action, Wellness and Lifestyle. The names ought not to be overlooked, as they represent the theme of their particular block. Every one of the towers will have its own choreographed facilities at the Sky Terrace, and every one of them will have unique lobbies.
These homes are called serviced apartments and residents will indeed receive the best of services with the Lumi Hospitality group providing a full range of hospitality services. Residents will get to enjoy hotel-like services with in-house housekeeping services, ceasing the need for hiring a private housekeeper. There will also be a 12-hour concierge on the ground floors to welcome guests and act as an additional layer of security.
Those hired for concierge duties are not just relegated to welcoming visitors, their service also includes personalised assistance such as arranging the booking of facilities, arranging rental management needs and arranging home maintenance schedules. Valet and bellman services are also provided for an even steeper status hike. The rates for cleaning services will either be on a yearly contract or on an ad-hoc basis for the convenience of residents.
As meticulously as everything in Lumi Tropicana is planned, the facilities are also unique to Lumi Tropicana. The play area within the development is named Lumi Park, which will feature a putting green with sand bunker for the golfers, remote control toys ground for the toddlers, rock climbing walls for the sports enthusiast and barbecue areas for the entire family.
While those are located closer to the ground, the ones in the sky is the Lumi Pool featuring an aquatic paradise 190 metres long in the sky. Built in a curved formation, swimmers will enjoy panoramic views of the Tropicana Golf & Country Club in this infinity pool that is 40 metres longer than the one at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore.
Amongst the other self-indulging thematic facilities in Lumi Tropicana is the Sky Dining where residents get to enjoy sights of the city skyline. Located on the rooftop is also the wine lounge, library and self-spa. All these facilities are accessible only to residents via their access cards.
Lumi Park is located on Level 7 of Lumi Tropicana, where all four blocks will be able to access it. These facilities are however not opened to the SoHo developments nor visitors to the Lumi Marketplace. Every block will also have the luxury of their own receptionist.
Residents of Lumi Tropicana will enjoy utmost privacy with their very low density of only 744 stylish units with approximately only six units to a floor, served by 3 high speed lifts to a block and an additional loading lift for moving large furnitures in and out.
The homes at Lumi Tropicana were designed with an open concept typical to an European home. As such, the units at Lumi Tropicana will come with different configurations and layouts to suit every taste and size of family, and while there are balconies, not every unit will come with a balcony. The smallest unit at Lumi Tropicana is only 862 sf with two bedrooms. These homes were sold out on the first day of Lumi Tropicana’s launch itself, without even a showroom.
Lumi Tropicana – Living Room
There were only showrooms available for the two larger units of Type B and Type C. Upon walking in, visitors will first be struck by the sheer elegance of the furnishings of the show unit. It does come as a pleasant surprise then that the majority of what you see is what you get. The kitchens are beautifully arranged and furnished with built-in kitchen cabinets where buyers will get a microwave oven and washing machine cum dryer already fitted into neat and hidden spaces in the kitchen. The rooms are also proportionately sized.
Lumi Tropicana – Kitchen
That is for the second largest units in Lumi Tropicana; the largest units, Type C, are the gems of Lumi Tropicana. Visitors will be greeted by a large living room combined with the dining area, with an open kitchen overlooking all of them. And while the two normal bedrooms are of a smaller size, the Master Bedroom is a wonder unto itself.
Lumi Tropicana – Master Bedroom
These rooms are akin to suites with its spaciousness and walk-in closets and space for a vanity table; but what would really strike the fancy of the buyer into making their purchase is the Master Bathroom. The WC and shower area is separated from each other and the bathroom by glass walls, while what takes up the most space is the Jacuzzi for two beside glass windows to overlook the landscapes of Tropicana.
Lumi Tropicana – Master Bathroom
The developers of Lumi Tropicana, Thriven Global, certainly do not do things half-heartedly or halfway. They have gone all the way out to show the market what it means to live in luxury, and Lumi Tropicana is a product of that vision.
The showroom of Lumi Tropicana is located in the established neighbourhood of Petaling Jaya almost beside the main office of the Sin Chew Jit Poh newspaper company. While the showroom is located nowhere close to the actual site of the development, its location is a clear indication towards its target audience.
As of the site of Lumi Tropicana, it is located eminently in the neighbourhood of Tropicana Golf & Country Club at literally only 5 minutes away from the club’s entrance. Buyers of Lumi Tropicana can look forward to not only the prestige they will get from living in this area, but also the convenience of commuting to the major neighbourhoods in town.

To this purpose the One Utama Shopping Centre is ideally located only 15 minutes away. Aside from being one of the biggest shopping malls in Malaysia, they also carry two supermarkets, one of which is Aeon and there other Cold Storage which carries a more upmarket range of products.

Besides local schools for children of all ages there is the new St Joseph International School within the vicinity which is said to be the largest international school in Petaling Jaya. There is also a Chinese medium primary school in the vicinity which is popular with locals who wish for their children to learn the Chinese language.

The station is already confirmed and it is said that there will also be an additional new MRT Line 1 station within walking distance.

With its central location, everything is in fact almost within a stone’s throw of Lumi Tropicana. And despite their proximity to every form of necessity in the city, Lumi Tropicana will be situated in a quiet neighbourhood where residents can enjoy the laid-back lifestyle of the affluent.
Where Lumi Tropicana is located, the price of developments there are astronomical due to its eminent location. And because Lumi Tropicana is being built on one of the last available plots of land in the neighbourhood, prices of Lumi Tropicana is expected to be on the higher side.
The average price psf at Lumi Tropicana is however deemed to be quite reasonable, at approximately RM915 psf. The closest residential high rise to Lumi Tropicana would be Tropicana Avenue, another development of similar capacity. These units were priced astronomically at approximately RM1,200 psf.
Lumi Tropicana as can be seen from its reception into the market is destined to be another successful project under the Tropicana branding. Despite the warm market sentiments which has made other developers backpedal resulting in some even delaying the launch of their projects, the developers of Lumi Tropicana bullishly went ahead believing that as long as a project is of quality there will be a market for it.
The overwhelming response to Lumi Tropicana on its launch day which resulted in 80% of its units being sold out within less than a week of its launch is evidence that this is a project of quality that buyers have been waiting for.
