As far as healthy lifestyles are concerned, not the entire the land mass that is Southville City will be developed. Half of its existing greenscapes and unique topography are maintained for recreational pursuits.

Having mentioned this, an existing natural rainforest lies within the development. In order for residents to reap the full benefits residing next to this valuable natural marvel, the developer will incorporate this greenery alongside the township’s various recreational features.

Other fun elements are a 6-acre path that overlooks the river, which include a pedestrian cum bicycle track that connects the entire Southville City. There will also be a recreational clubhouse with a pool, gym and barbecue area. The cream of the crop of all of these back-by-nature facilities, is an urban park spanning 9 acres, set amidst an age-old rainforest that spans 20 acres.

Location

Southville City Map

Southville City Map

Southville City occupies 428 acres of land in Bangi, located 25 kilometres south of Kuala Lumpur. Bangi is a town that is near Bandar Baru Bangi, Putrajaya, Kajang and Nilai, followed by Cheras, then Kuala Lumpur and Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) which is 20 minutes away by car. But the closest existing township is the mostly landed Bandar Seri Putra whereas the nearest existing commercial centre is Bangi Avenue.

The population count in Bangi is approximately 250,000. When we take into account the population from nearby areas, which include Seremban, Kajang, Semenyih, Putrajaya, Cyberjaya, Nilai, and Dengkil, the total population of people residing in the South of Kuala Lumpur will come up to approximately 1.5 million!

Another interesting aspect of Bangi is that it is also a town where multi-national industrial giants choose to station their manufacturing plants or factories. These large buildings cover an area roughly half the size of Glenmarie in Shah Alam. This include Sony EMCs’ research and development center, Ericsson, Denso, DELL and Hitachi. One of The Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation’s research and development agencies are also located nearby.

In terms of educational facilities, the towns of Seri Kembangan, Kajang and Bangi, with large land parcels, are known to be peppered with universities.

There are 8 universities in the area. There’s University Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), German Malaysian Insititute, University Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN), University Putra Malaysia (UPM), Cyberjaya University of Medical Sciences, University Multimedia (MMU) and Limkokwing University of Creative Technology.

Among the major highways that support these southern towns, the North-South Highway is the most proximate to Southville City. We all know that the Bangi Toll Exit is currently widely-used as an entry point to Bangi, which is 10 minutes away from Southville City.

In addition to developing Southville City, Mah Sing is also introducing a 14-lane toll plaza that is a direct interchange into Southville City. This interchange, which leads traffic (in and out of the township) direct from the KL-Seremban Highway, North-South Highway or Jalan Kajang-Dengkil, was officiated by the Ministry of Works in November 2014. Its completion is set for the second quarter of 2018.

The Bangi KTM Station is located 3 kilometres away, followed by the UKM KTM Station at 8 kilometres. There will be 2 proposed MRT Line 2 stations in the vicinity of Serdang and Cyberjaya or Putrajaya. As we all know by now, the completion date for MRT Line 1 will precede MRT Line 2. So we shall wait for the news of its successful completion.

In terms of leisure, Taman Botani in Putrajaya is located 17 kilometres away. For healthcare facilities, Hospital Serdang and Hospital Putrajaya is located within a 23-kilometre radius. To practise your golf swing, you have 3 choices to choose from. There’s Bangi Golf Resort, UPM Golf Course, or Palm Garden Golf Club – all reachable within 20 kilometres from Southville City.

There are also 3 shopping malls, namely 2 in Putrajaya and 1 in Seri Kembangan. There’s Alamanda Shopping Mall and IOI City Mall in Putrajaya (15 to 19 km in distance) and The MINES Shopping Fair in Seri Kembangan (22 km away).

Summary

From the initial launch price approximately 3 years prior to 2016, we can ascertain that Southville City is an urban-focussed development with high potential. With the cost of living and property prices in the city centre of Kuala Lumpur skyrocketing, most urbanites are always hunting for properties outside of town. Southville City is a destination located south of Kuala Lumpur and has all the elements that make up any successful township.

As we speak, Tower D2 has been released as the final phase under Savanna Executive Suites. All the towers that came before Tower D2 are sold out. So if you want to get a hold of units(s) at Southville City, you better act swiftly.
