It is indeed luxury few have ever seen and I was privileged enough to be shown one of their unique showroom units – Type C4 – a 3-Bedroom plus Garden unit and upon entering I was awed by the spaciousness and absolute classiness of design, aesthetics and sheer quality of the material used like the first ever in Iskandar – of imported Italy Travertime Marble flooring. The layout was astonishingly well designed and from my view from the Main Entrance looking onto the Living Area, Dining Area and the Garden space, it was as if I was looking at a typical Landed Property with a beautiful 270 degree unblocked seafront view. Seventh Cove, Iskandar is located in Teluk Jawa, Masai which is very near to Kampung Telok Jawa as many call it and which in simple terms is Orang Asli land, which covers an area stretching from Pasir Gudang right to the sea front of Permas Jaya. The Seventh Cove Sales Gallery is also situated right next to the building site right behind a few famous and popular seafood resaturants patronised by both tourists and locals.

 Things have changed a lot and many of the original Orang Asli have either moved on into the surrounding districts working like any other while-collar worker or have been forced to move out due to the constant developments taking place, which is unfortunate but the Johor state government is doing all it can by rehousing them all, helping them all to continue a living, find work etc which is in keeping with their local traditions which has been in place for over 100 years.

 

The area where Seventh Cove, Iskandar will finally be sitting on Orang Asli land which has certain protectional rights according to what has been agreed upon and written over time between the State government of Johor and the Orang Asli themselves and the Laws are clear. I was told that there are areas throughout this district that will not designated for Developers due to the Rights and Agreement made to protectthe livelihood and well being of these Orang Asli who are after all one of the many indigenous peoples of Malaya who came centuries ago from neighbouring Indonesia. That time it was known as Malaya until independence in 1957 when it became to be known as Malaysia.

Teluk Jawa, Masai is only about twelve minutes from downtown Johor Bahru city and anything between 3 to 8 minute to most shopping malls, schools both government and international/private, medical facilities and major highways. Having your transportation is a must if you wish to get around this part of Iskandar.

 

Masai is a town located in east Johor Bahru District, Malaysia, and is the oldest part of Johor Bahru. It is located 25 kilometres from the Johor Bahru city centre. Masai is located on route J10 which leads to Kong Kong, a fishing village along Johor River. The main access roads to Masai are Jalan Masai Lama and Pasir Gudang Highway (Federal Route 17).

 

Many pre-war buildings are still well preserved. Masai, like many of the towns in the Johor Bahru district, catered to the rural population of farmers and rubber plantation workers throughout the early and mid 20th century.

 

Due to its proximity to Pasir Gudang, its shops cater to retail shoppers from Pasir Gudang as well as from the rapidly growing population of nearby housing estates such as Kota Masai, Bandar Seri Alam, Taman Rinting, Taman Megah Ria, Nusa Damai, Taman Scientex, Kota Puteri and Taman Bukit Dahlia.

Masai has gone through vigorous development which has transformed the town into one of the most populous towns in Johor. The Masai Chinese Primary School now has more than 5000 pupils. Shops include Today’s, Yos Saver Store, Kip-Mart and Tesco.

 

Bandar Sri Alam is the business centre for Masai, with MayBank, Public Bank, Bank Simpanan Nasional and Bank Rakyat and Hotels.

 

The Masai Main Street, Jalan Masai Lama, is the main road connecting Johor Bahru to towns at the east side of Masai such as Kota Masai, Kong Kong and Pasir Gudang.

 

Meanwhile, Masai is also the name of the district, Masai District with post code of 81750, where the town is situated. Masai district is consist of Masai town, Bandar Seri Alam, Taman Rinting, Kota Puteri, Plentong, Permas Jaya[3] and others. Due to location, Tanjung Langsat inductrial area is quite near to Pasir Gudang, so it’s categorized as Pasir Gudang district. However, the weird thing for Tanjung Langsat village is that the village is categorized as Masai district due to historical development.
