It is currently sitting on 14.8 acres of freehold mixed development with a third of its acreage dedicated to its Forest Village lifestyle centre. There will be a facilities deck located on the 8th floor that will feature over 100 leisure facilities and amenities under the themes DAWN, NOON and EVE. All of its superlative conveniences are open for the residents to enjoy.
In addition to its exciting lifestyle deck, the project will also be featuring a retail section known as Fiesta walk. There, a triple-storey retail podium with a built-up area of approximately 277,000 sq. ft. will be located, along with a Street Boulevard and Bank Street that will include various terrace shops and boutique stores.
Considering that there will be many exciting facilities and amenities’ going to be available in The Era, the maintenance fees of RM0.28 per sq. ft. charged by the developer seems to be a very good deal. They are also providing ample parking space for the residents.

The Era is perhaps the most refreshing addition to the old and mature township of Segambut. It is the tallest building in the area and possesses a very modern and imposing façade. Residents can also enjoy a spectacular view of the KL skylines to the South, TItiwangsa Mountains to the east and the surrounding townships to the North. More importantly, this is a stylish looking project that comes with quite an affordable price tag
Location
The Era @ Duta North, as the name implies, is situated at the center of the hustling and bustling township of Duta North or better known as Segambut. It occupies a strategic but dense location that is sandwiched between Mont Kiara (5km), KLCC (8km) and Damansara (12km).

The main attraction of this new hot spot is its generous offerings of F&B outlets and retail shops. From Chinese and Malay hawker stalls to Old Town White Coffee and other franchises, there are plenty of dining and shopping options to choose from here. Several petrol stations such as Shell, Petronas and Petron can also be found near the project site, making it a very convenient place to live in.
More retail shops around the development site
The only problem with this place is its lack of sophistication. Unlike the other more established townships like the ones mentioned above, Segambut still possesses many shabby and old looking buildings that are in dire need of an improvement. The businesses here are generally not very large scaled either, and there are hardly any noticeable shopping malls or hypermarkets around.
This is not a huge concern though, as many new exciting projects are pouring in and the township itself is experiencing a major rejuvenation. Several high end townships such as Mont Kiara, Damansara and KLCC are also easily reachable, so the opportunity to dine and shop luxuriously is not unavailable.
Getting Around The Site
By Motor Vehicle
There are several roads that can be taken to reach the development site. For those who are coming from the Damansara or Petaling Jaya area, the Penchala Link or SPRINT Highway would be the fastest way to get here. From those who are travelling from Kuala Lumpur, however, the best route to take is via Jalan Kuching or Jalan Duta. In future, there will also be a link bridge connecting the development to Jalan Putramas and Dutamas 2. So, this will be an added convenience for those who are planning to stay here.
By Public Transportation
At present, The Era is not easily accessible via public transportation. The closest point that a person could travel via a commuter train is to the Segambut KTM station or Titiwangsa Monorail station. From there, there is still quite a distance away to cover before one arrives at the project site. There is some respite though, as a MRT station has been proposed to be built 1.4 km away from the location. So, walking to the site from the train station could be a possibility in the future.

Compared to the other premium developments around the vicinity such as Eco World’s EcoSky and Mah Sing Group’s Lakeville Residences, The Era is a clear winner when it comes to affordability. This is great news for the buyers as the developer has kept its promise to deliver a stylish but affordable project for them.
There is however a catch as the units in this development are unfurnished and bare. The only additions that will be provided by the developer are those essential items such as sanitary and plumbing fittings and electrical installations such as lighting and power points. The doors and flooring finishes will be of good quality though, so, that should keep those buyers who prefer to see some timber doors and laminated timber floorings content.
Summary
The Era is an affordable and stylish development that is situated in a new hot spot called Duta North. It towers over all the other developments in the vicinity with its six blocks of 53-63 storeys serviced apartments. The main selling point of this project is its great location and superb offerings that include over 100 unique facilities and amenities.
The Era also comes with a rather affordable price tag, which makes it a very suitable entry level home to buy and stay at. That being said, this project is located in a highly dense and congested area with patchy road conditions. All of its units come unfurnished as well, so, there will be some additional costs that needs be borne. For those who don’t mind its flaws and are willing to live in a – for now – underdeveloped township, this would be a good project to consider.
