
The district replaced Kuala Lumpur as the capital city of Selangor in 1978 and also became home to the famous Blue Mosque or Masjid Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah. There are many different types of commercial and residential properties in the area including office blocks, shop lots, factory outlets, retail malls, landed houses, apartments and condominiums. Residents in the area are mostly from the low and middle income groups.
