Do i need to pay agent fees if i am the buyer in other state ( not penang) .

There is only one standard scale for professional fees provided by our governing Board of Valuers, Appraisers & Estate Agents Malaysia throughout Malaysia irrespecticve of the states. The fee can be paid by either the Owner/Landlord or Buyer/Tenant depending on who actually engaged or hire the services of the agent. However, it is more common that the services of the agent are hired and paid by the Owner/Landlord whereby the agent will advertise the properties on their behalf. Only in situation whereby the Buyer/Tenant requested the agent to source for a property that is difficult to find (get) & according to the Buyer's/Tenant's pricing then the fee has to be pre agreed to be paid by the Buyer/Tenant.
