Hai, I am foreigner working in Malaysia. My wife is malaysian. My salary is above 5500. Can I buy a house / apartment under my name in Malaysia. I cannot apply through my wife's name. Because, my wife's name under black list.

Hello Mr. Ajev, Yes a foreigner can buy and own a residential property in Malaysia provided the property value is more than RM1 million and in certain states like Selangor, a foreigner can only buy and own strata titled properties (not houses) above RM2 million in value. With your income of RM5,500 per month or thereabout you may not be eligible to obtain a bank loan to purchase a property more than RM1 million in value.
