Hello,

I am a foreigner with a foreign passport; however, I grew up in Malaysia for some time and was able to renew my Malaysian IC with no problem last year (along with all my family members). However, I do not have a Malaysian passport. So what type of Malaysian am I considered? Am I considered a Malaysian citizen? PR?

I am looking to avoid meeting the minimum of property value a foreigner must meet (aka $1MM ringgit). Thanks for help!

Does your IC state "Pemastautin Tetap"? If it is, you're a permanent resident, not citizen. Please check with the National Registration Department and Immigration Department for further clarification. Best wishes, JoyLand Properties (E(3)0743). Read More
