Hi all!
I am a Malaysian currently working in Europe. I'd like to purchase a house for my parents. I was told by different sources that I can buy only houses that cost above RM 500K and I will be eligible for only 70% of housing loan from local banks. This is my first time buying a house in Malaysia. I am wondering if I could still get those first time home buyer privileges in spite of my abroad income? Many thanks in advance for your answers! By clearing all the ambiguous information, I could then concentrate on the area and housing price range.

Cheers,

Hi there. If you are a Malaysian you are entitled to buy a property. But the price range will depend on your income. For affordable housing property please refer to the following : Property price household income must not exceed RM200,000 RM6,000 monthly RM300,000 RM8,000 RM400,000 RM10,000 If you are earning more than the above bracket, most likely you are not entitled to the programme offered to 1st time house buyer. I hope the above information is helpful to you. Thank you. Read More
