Hi. I am a tenant and there has been issues with water leakages in the house. However, the landlord has not been reponsive and I have not paid rental due to this issue. Now, the landlord has given me a 30 day notice to leave the premises. I have written to him numerous times that as it is stipulated in the agreement that it is his responsibility to fix these problems. However, the landlord is insistent that I must pay rental as per the agreement or he will break lease. this is not the first time it has happened and it has taken 3 month for the first problem to be fixed. What can I do?

just pay the rental as stated in the agreement. you can offer landlord you pay first the cost of rectification and minus from the rental. Read More
