Hi,

I am looking to relocate to Malaysia and myself along with my Malaysian spouse are looking to purchase a property.

I am a British citizen and I would be entering on a Spouse Visa. We would like to buy in Kuala Lumpur or around, does the 1 MIL RM limit still apply even if you're purchasing with a Malaysian wife?

    Hi, I tried to WhatsApp but unable to as it says no WhatsApp with this number. - One more question I had is whether it's possible to take a mortgage out in Malaysia (planning to move in 3 years) - so purchase a home now whilst working in the UK earning in £. Or would I and my parents have to work in Malaysia?

Hi, if the Loan and SPA are under your wife alone then the threshold RM 1mil will not be applicable otherwise the property must above RM1mil.

But I do have property below RM1mil, and foreigners can buy it.
