Hi , I'd like to ask the agents here. Is it good to invest in studio unit? I'm quite concern that whether many in selangor willing to rent a studio unit with RM1500 and above. Let's take an example of a studio unit with 600 sq feet, 1 bathroom in Subang, how much is the average rental and whether is there many willing to rent it?

Hi Xine,
Studio is usually smaller than a 1 bedroom apartment. It is not suitable for couples planning a family. The only target market are students and single working people mainly from outstation. Locals will stay in their family homes. Only some foreign students can afford while there are cheaper options to rent rooms or share a terrace house rental with multiple rooms.
In summary, targeted limited demand but many developers had created an oversupply situation. Generally, people want living space for the same rental budget. Studio and 1 bedroom units are more for own interim use. For investment, buy at least a 2 bedroom unit.
