Hi, My father passed away in 1987. He didn't have will. I recently found out that he was a co-owner of a house in KL with 3 of his siblings (my uncles). My question: Can I still do property owner transfer after this many years? Can the 3 other co-owners (my 3 uncles) delete my father's name as the co-owner of the house? What should I do now?

Hi, By law your 3 uncle have no right to erase/ take out your father's name from the join name property. Unless power of attorney been sign by your father before his dead and agreed to let the rest of 3 uncles full control. Else, you have the right to following up this case by using "heritage act" . Hope it's help. Morgan Koh (RINA PROPERTIES ASIA SDN BHD) 016-696 8923  Read More
