Hi. Recently I had a very bad experience whereby my tenant left after completing 1 year of the tenancy period. This couple left with 2 months outstanding of rental, tonnes of electricity bills unpaid, water bills & sewerage bills never been paid not even a single cent plus some damages to the house altogether about RM2k. We have been calling both the couple but they just refused to answer phone calls. Text messages & WhatsApp also refused to reply. It seems that they are running away with it. I have seek some advices from my friends, families & property agents. They told me nothing can be done if they just run away like that. Even lodging a police report would not help. With the valid tenancy agreement been signed & duly stamped by LHDN. Isn't there anything at all that I can do to salvage this? Sincerely seek your professional advice on this. TQVM.
