Foreigners are only allowed to buy residential properties in KL priced above RM1 million.
It is rather difficult for foreigners to obtain bank loans in Malaysia without working (preferably with MNCs) and paying income tax in Malaysia. Alternatively is to purchase with own cash savings.

Foreigners are only allowed to buy a residential property priced above RM1 million in Kuala Lumpur. Secondly, foreigners will need to obtain their own source of funding as most banks in Malaysia (including foreign banks) are very selective of giving out property loans. Only foreigners who have been working for MNCs companies and paying income tax in Malaysia for a longer period of time may be eligible.
