I am a seller of an apartment. The purchaser paid deposit of RM12K to real estate agency. Now he aborted the purchase, agency has on numerous times written to me that I am entitled to get RM6K. Promise after promise, when come to actual day of payment, the wife of the Dreamvest founder refused to pay. She imposed obstacles asking me to get legal letter to instruct her to pay me RM6K. Is this the normal practice? I found it very funny as this is very clear cut straight forward case. Once purchaser aborted, deposit automatically shared between agency and seller. Are there any authority that I can complain to highlight this unprofessional act.

Hi dear owner. First,do u keep a copy of Letter of confirmation for sale/Offer to purchase. If yes please refer to the T&C stated on the letter and I believe it is clearly stated earnest deposit shall be share among you and the agency upon the abortion of purchase. You may lodge a complaint to BOVEA (LPPEH) either through their offical website or call their service line. Read More
