Dear HK Citizen,
If you buy a new project, it will usually take 3 years if not 4 years to complete.That is provided the developer is financially strong to not abandon the project. Also, you will only be shown a showroom unit which is usually well done up for marketing purposes. you are not able to see the exact view, orientation and quality of the finishes.
Because you are planning to move into the unit next year, I would suggest you look for a completed unit either not yet sold by the developer or a pre-owned unit being sold in the secondary market. Most pre-owned units are renovated or fitted out with interior furnishing and furniture.
For your information, a foreigner is only eligible to buy a residentail property in KL above RM1 million in value.
