I felt cheated by a shop lot agent. I saw an ad outside a shoplot, make a call contact the agent, the agent contact the owner and we all three meet up. But when I agree to rent the shop, the agent request give me a letter to sign agree to rent the shop. But after that I found out is asking me to pay one month commission to him which is cost about 4k. From what I know is the owner should pay him. But the agent said this is common pratice in Penang. Is that true? Pay the agent one month rental commission sound non sense to me. As he do nothing.
