I have a close relative who bought a house around 20 years ago. Was a new development. But the house has not been lived it at all. From the time they bought it to now, tak pernah duduk dekat rumah, just went a couple of times to look at the house but nothing was done. Kunci all was taken, put padlock but nothing after that. Fast forward to current day, the couple have longed moved to another state.
Now comes the problem. The couple are now retierd and too old to travel outstation to settle this problem. Loan sudah bayar but have not even transfer the title yet. And the problem has fallen on my head now. I have to help because they a quite a close relative, but I am clueless on what to do. They want to sell the house off and get rid of the problem.
I google map the place and it seems someone might be squating there, looks in bad shape, broken windows and what not, but not like haunted house abandon.
My question is what should I do? Do I get a real estate agent to handle it? Will they even layan?
Any direction would be much appreciated.
