I have a friend who wants to sell a piece of land for RM4 million. The seller told me to mark up the price if I wanted a commission and include lawyer fees and if there were any government tax charges in the sale price. I already have a buyer who is willing to buy the land for RM4.8 million. Since I am only an unlicensed middleman, what is the guarantee that I will get a commission or excess from the selling price of the seller. Is it right if I ask the seller to issue a LOI to Sell to me for RM4 million and the buyer issues a LOI to Purchase for RM4.8 million. The price difference is mine after deducting all costs. Forgive me even without a license I cannot afford to turn down an opportunity.
