I have rented a condominium for 1 years , after staying 2 months the owner said want to sell the condo unit . We have signed the tenancy agreement , my agent said the owner will give me 2 months notice and 1 month penalty. Is this really the case ?

It depends on what is stated in the Tenancy Agreement. If there is no provision for the Landlord to terminate your Tenancy Agreement then the Landlord cannot do so without your consent. Some tenancy agreement clearly states the compensation amount eg. payment of the remaining months rentals to the aggrieved party. Otherwise, the time frame and compensation has to be mutually agreed upon.
