There are two types of qualification to conduct property sales and rentals for a fee.
1. Licensed and Registered Real Estate Agent who has gone through a Diploma or Degree in Real Estate and two years of probationary practice with a licensed real estate agency and successfully obtained the E license after an interview with the government Board of Practice. This qualification allows the estate agency to not only conduct sales and rentals but also eligible to open and operate a licensed real estate agency.
2. Real estate negotiators only need to attend a two days seminar/course and apply to be registered with a REN number. The real estate negotiator can conduct sales and rentals under a licensed real estate agency and are not allowed to open and operate a real estate agency on their own.
