KL Land Office is claiming that my condo is a bumi lot. I bought the property in 2000 from a non-bumi. Land office claims that the property is automatically converted into a bumi lot regardless of from whom I bought it from . The strata title does not indicate that it is a bumi lot. I have never applied for my prop to be converted into a bumi lot. Is the claim by the land office valid? How can I resolve this? I have already signed S&P to sell the property to a non-Bumi.

is ur property leasehold and under master tittle? normally leasehold they have to reserve the certain percentage as bumi so that when it change to strata they can meet the requirement. if u have strata oredy then i dont see the problem u can ask lawyer for help to change. i have a case lastime a shop lot under master tittle leasehold. owner is bumi and i had owes tot its a bumi lot till one day the owner said he bought over from a chinese lastime then we call developer office to confirm developer tol us its a non bumi unit. so its able to sell to non bumi. my suggestion if its master tittle check with developer they knw better. if has strata tittle i think no issue for transfer Read More
