The Landlord has engaged Property Guru to rent our his condo which was subsequently advertised in your website on the rental of the unit. Me as a tenant have seen the advertisement on the website and have then called the agent whose number is listed to inform that i am keen on renting the property. The agent then arranges for me to meet the owner and view the condo which i then agree and sign a rental agreement for one year and the rental of the condo is RM4500 per month.
In this case, who pays the commission to the agent. Does the landlord pay the 1/2 monthg and the tenant another 1/2 month or is it the landlord that should pay the 1 month as it is the landlord that has engaged the services of the agent to rent out the condo. The tenant has only seen the advert and contacted the agent on his desire to rent out the condo. Appreciate your clarification to my question.Thank you and kind regards.Anthony

Hi. Anthony, Refer to the abovementioned matter. As usual practice that we would normally get the 1 month fee from the person who engage the property negotiator for the service. However, as you are the tenant, you need to bare for the tenancy agreement cost only. The above clarification refers to the general usual practice for rental purpose. If you have any enquiries, please email me at liauliz7778@gmail.com I hope the above mentioned clarification could assist you. Thank you. Regards Lisa Read More
