It really depends on your taste and purpose. Anything up to 20% of the property value and what was provided by the developer. It's probably lower for apartments as opposed to houses because most houses have their kitchen structurally extended David Wong Licensed Real Estate Agent E2097 QUANTUM REAL ESTATE Read More

A 10% and below figure would be ideal. Again it depends on what you intend to do. Most new high end condos come with Kitchen fittings and wardrobes and even air-conditioners as minimum. You may then want to install an island and some decorative wood panelled partitions. Otherwise it will be mainly wall papers and lightings or carpeting. Frankly you cannot break some walls like load bearing walls (especially sheer walls) in a condo as that may disrupt the integrity of the structures and that also explains why you may need to submit your plans to the authorities for deliberation before commencement of work, sometimes. However, you may want to invest more with landed property as you will have greater flexibility when doing internal renovations, perhaps up to 30% even. I sure hope this helps and do feel free to contact me for more info, if you wish. My name is MORGAN (REN 02891) from IQI Realty Sdn Bhd. Read More
