With development in full swing of the Klang Valley’s second MRT line (Putrajaya Line), let’s take a look at our existing Kajang MRT line and the areas it serves.

1) Mutiara Damansara
Mutiara Damansara is a township located in the northern side of Petaling Jaya. Upscale and on the pricier end, this area enjoys a lively community with no shortage of entertainment options.
Mutiara Damansara is most commonly associated with The Curve, IKEA Damansara and IPC Shopping Centre – three highly popular, major shopping malls in the area.
Of course, it’s not all play and no work. As with the majority of Petaling Jaya, this esteemed area enjoys a good mix of residential and corporate buildings as well, making for a great all-rounded lifestyle.
Shopping malls aside, Mutiara Damansara is also home to a bustling corporate centre with buildings such as Menara TSR, Nucleus Tower, Menara UAC and the Grade A MSC-status KYM Tower.
Mutiara Damansara is served by the Mutiara Damansara MRT station, with two MRT feeder buses linking the station with Empire Damansara and Metropolitan Square.

2) Brickfields
Home to a large population of Indian residents and businesses, Brickfields is fondly known as our very own "Little India"!
A colourful neighbourhood rich with culture and history, Brickfields neighbours Kuala Lumpur’s world-class transportation hub KL Sentral, where KTM, MRT, LRT, ERL, and monorail lines all intertwine. Just a short walk away from KL Sentral would find you in Brickfields.
Located smack in the heart of KL’s hustle and bustle, you already know you can rest at ease, since accessibility and connectivity will never be an issue for you here.
Medical amenities are aplenty as well, with Prince Court Medical Centre, Bangsar Medical Centre, and Kajungan Hospital in the vicinity.
Families will be spoilt for choice too. Be it local or international, plenty of educational institutions call Brickfields home – including Valley International School, Havil International School, and Global Indian International School, to name a few.
Brickfields is served by the nearby Muzium Negara MRT station.

3) Shah Alam
Selangor’s more serene capital, Shah Alam isn’t for those who thrive amongst urban flurry.
Instead, Shah Alam shines forth with its subtle, natural charm. The area is home to multiple golf clubs and nature/sports-oriented activities – including the Kota Permai Golf and Country Club, Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Golf & Country Club, and Glenmarie Golf & Country Club.
If your ideal lifestyle involves hiking on the weekends at Bukit Cerakah Forest Reserve, or enjoying a picnic at the National Botanical Gardens (Taman Botani), there’s no better place than Shah Alam for you to do all that, and more!
While nature-lovers will find themselves drawn towards the area for its wealth of recreational amenities, they can also travel a little further out to Subang Jaya, Petaling Jaya or Klang, which all border Shah Alam.
Shah Alam is served by the Kwasa Damansara and Kwasa Sentral MRT stations. Notably, the upcoming LRT3 (Bandar Utama-Klang) line will also pass through the area, with 9 stations set to serve various areas within Shah Alam alone.

4) Bukit Bintang
On the opposite spectrum of Shah Alam’s serene, nature-oriented charm is Bukit Bintang’s dynamic entertainment and nightlife scene.
Here, the city never sleeps. Shopping? You’ve got all you need and more with Berjaya Times Square, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, Starhill Gallery, and Plaza Low Yat to satisfy your retail needs.
Food hunt? Choose from fantastic hawker stalls on street level or upmarket fine dining in the skies. Entertainment? Expat-friendly and tourist-dominated Changkat comes alive at night and becomes a lively hub of activity.
Properties here are almost exclusively high-rise, with luxury condominiums the norm. If a lifestyle that never stops, and an address in Kuala Lumpur’s Golden Triangle is what you seek, Bukit Bintang will be right up your alley!

5) Bandar Sungai Long
What used to be a small and humble town, Kajang has blossomed today to become one of the most highly populated cities in Malaysia.
On the northern end of Kajang is Bandar Sungai Long, a township that’s revolving around several country clubs, as well as the Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR).
With both upmarket and low cost residential options, one can expect Sungai Long to be a homely option full of students and families.
This leisurely town is also famously home to Saujana Impian, a luxurious award-winning township by Sime Darby. Think countryside living in the vicinity of Impian Golf & Country Club, complete with educational institutions, medical centres and various malls just a stone’s throw away.
Bandar Sungai Long is served by the Sungai Jernih MRT station, just 2.6 km away from Saujana Impian.

6) Dataran Sunway
Kota Damansara is a rapidly emerging township which shares similar qualities as its neighbours Petaling Jaya and Subang Jaya. The suburb offers up a lifestyle that perfectly balances between liveliness and peace within nature.
Owing to its proximity to most of the major residential cities, while still enjoying seamless accessibility (it’s just 20 minutes away from KLCC!), Kota Damansara is a popular option for youngsters in particular.
Within Kota Damansara is Dataran Sunway, a developing township centred around Sunway Giza – an entertainment and retail landmark of Kota Damansara since 2009.
This mall offers a more laid-back shopping experience, thanks to all-weather boulevards and multiple alfresco dining outlets.
Dataran Sunway is served by the Surian MRT station, where two feeder buses link the station to Dataran Ara Damansara, and Seksyen 11 in Kota Damansara.

7) Balakong
Balakong is a densely populated, rapidly developing township that’s neighbouring Kajang.
While not usually on the radar of most property buyers, this huge, well-established area is just the thing for families looking to settle down in a thriving, homely area.
Plenty of educational institutions call Balakong home, with public schools aplenty and international schools such as Beaconhouse Newlands International School, Kingsgate International School and the well-known Alice Smith, which was the first British International School in Malaysia.
Just as with Shah Alam and Kota Damansara, there’s no shortage for weekend family hikes here. Taman Muhibbah Recreation Park, Bukit Jalil Recreation Park, MAEPS Equestrian Centre, MAEPS Lake, and Taman Konservatori UPM are just some of the nature-oriented amenities which are nearby the area.
Balakong is served by the Bukit Dukung MRT station.

8) Petaling Jaya
