Petaling Jaya (12 June 2026) – In December 2025, Tropicana Corporation Berhad (“Tropicana” or the “Group”) achieved a commendable four-star FTSE Russell ESG Rating under the FTSE4Good Bursa Malaysia (“F4GBM”) Index Series. Building on its strong ESG momentum, the Group recently collaborated with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (“MACC”). It hosted a MACC-led employee workshop to strengthen governance and an integrity culture. This initiative is in tandem with MACC’s efforts to strengthen integrity and anti-corruption values through the implementation of the Anti-Corruption Workshop on Integrity or Ethical Conduct and Best Governance Practices. Held at Tropicana Golf & Country Resort (“TGCR”) on 10 June 2026, the session was attended by 23 employees from relevant departments. It covered key corruption-prevention topics, including integrity in the workplace, conflict-of-interest awareness, fraud prevention, and corporate liability under the applicable regulatory framework, while also incorporating real-life case studies to enhance practical understanding and awareness. The initiative reflects Tropicana’s commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (“UNSDG”), particularly Goals 4 and 16, which emphasise education, skills development, and strong governance, ethics, and compliance.
Serena Lim, Head of the ESG Unit for Tropicana, shared, “Tropicana began its ESG and sustainability journey in 2016, guided by our three ESG pillars of People, Planet, and Partnership. Over the years, we have grown from strength to strength, and in 2025, we achieved a commendable four-star FTSE Russell ESG Rating — a testament to our ongoing commitment to connecting communities, forging futures, and redefining the art of living. To reinforce our governance framework, we have updated our Anti-Corruption and Bribery Policy in line with the latest Malaysian regulations. Together with our ESG, Human Resources, and Whistleblowing policies, these are accessible via the Tropicana Employee Portal to ensure transparency and accountability across the organisation.”
“Tropicana remains committed to continuously strengthening its ESG and governance practices in line
with evolving practices and regulatory requirements. On behalf of the Group, I would like to extend my deepest appreciation to MACC for taking the time to host this workshop. Also, thanks to GHR for organising this workshop for our employees, as well as to our ESG team for their unwavering dedication to help steer the ESG growth and best practices.”
Speaking at the workshop, Ps Mohd Ihsan bin Anuar from the Private Sector Branch, Community Education Division (“PenMas”) of MACC, said, “During this workshop, we observed that Tropicana has put in place the following policies, such as anti-corruption, whistleblowing, and ESG. With this in mind, we prepared interactive subjects and elements relevant to our key topics. The registered participants actively engaged in case study presentations and practical exercises to strengthen integrity culture.”
Founded in 1979, Tropicana has built a strong track record in Malaysia, delivering more than 20 integrated townships and over 20 green-certified developments nationwide, while continuing to unlock value from its extensive landbank. Anchored by its OneTropicana vision and THRIVE values, the Group remains committed to quality, innovation, and sustainable community building as it continues to redefine the art of living for future generations.
