Camdon @ Eco Horizon

Camdon is the third phase of landed homes in Eco Horizon – a township in Bandar Cassia, Batu Kawan, Penang. Jointly developed by the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) and EcoWorld Development Group Bhd, homebuyers can expect EcoWorld’s iconic landscaping, security, and thoughtfully-designed township layout. Bearing a leasehold title, Camdon houses 459 units of Co-Homes (similar to townhouses) and 180 units of double-storey Garden Homes. Built-ups range from 1,291 sq ft – 1,700 sq ft for the Co-Homes, and 1,619 sq ft – 1,687 sq ft for the Garden Homes.Eco Horizon boasts the title of Penang’s largest gated and guarded community, and is the first project in the state to feature EcoWorld’s ‘Design2Own’ concept – where homebuyers have more layout options to customise their ideal layout. The Camdon collection, introduces Eco World’s Co-Home concept to Penang. Similar to a townhouse, these are double-storey terrace homes split into two floors. The top floor can house one family, while the ground floor can house another. Each floor is accessible via a separate entrance, while the covered car porch houses four parking bays (two for each unit). Inspired by the co-living trend, this unique layout enables couples and smaller families to experience the luxury of living in a landed home – without the burden of buying and maintaining an entire home. This project is situated right opposite IKEA Batu Kawan, just off the Bandar Cassia Trumpet Interchange. This interchange links to the Second Penang Bridge, connecting Bandar Cassia on the mainland to Batu Maung on Penang Island. From here, motorists can also directly access the North-South Expressway.Camdon comprises 459 units of Co-Homes and 180 units of Garden Homes. The Co-Homes are double-storey terrace homes split into two, while the Garden Homes are double-storey terrace homes with their own private garden. For bigger families, Type C Co-Homes offer two storeys of space with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.1,291 sq ft – 1,700 sq ft22’ x 54’ – 35’ x 54’3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms2 parking bays each1,619 sq ft – 1,687 sq ft20’ x 60’ – 24’ x 56’4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms2 parking baysAt the centre of this township lies its much-anticipated 13.6-acre landscaped park, where twin flamingo lakes form the heart of the neighbourhood. This is coupled by a luxurious 3.6-acre centralised clubhouse, which is set to house an Olympic-sized pool, multipurpose hall, BBQ area, gymnasium, and more.UOW Malaysia KDU Penang University College and Peninsula College’s The Ship Campus are both located a mere 5km from this project. Slightly further out at a 20km distance is the Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) Engineering Campus. Other nearby hospitals within a 20km radius include Sungai Bakap Hospital, Parit Buntar Hospital, and Bukit Mertajam Hospital. The 433,000 sq ft IKEA Batu Kawan is situated right opposite Eco Horizon, just a short drive away. This is the only IKEA in Penang’s Northern Region. Meanwhile, Design Village Outlet Mall (DVOM) and Pearl City Mall are 6.5km and 15km away respectively. The former is an award-winning mall known for its title as Malaysia’s biggest outlet mall, and houses 150 stores across an array of brands such as Puma, Guess, and Timberland.Eco Horizon’s commercial component is named Borealis and comprises 47 units of two and three-storey commercial shop offices. There are also plans for two drive-thru restaurants. At the time of writing, one of the completed drive-thru outlets is Starbucks – where residents can easily grab their morning caffeine fix on the way out to work. The Eco Horizon township is well-designed to facilitate recreational activities, with features such as backlane paths and safe cycling and jogging lanes. For something a little more exhilarating, the Stone Dragon Hill Trail attracts Penangites for its famous large boulder which greets hikers at the peak. Residents can also venture out to the popular Juru Auto City. Situated about 17km away, this area attracts automotive enthusiasts for its proliferation of car dealerships and service centres, and comes alive in the evening with food, shopping, and entertainment galore. Thanks to its proximity to the Second Penang Bridge, The Batu Kawan area is home to a flourishing industrial ecosystem and is known as a top Electrical and Electronics (E&E) sector. The famed Batu Kawan Industrial Park houses over 160 multinational corporations and large local corporations from the likes of Sandisk to Hewlett-Packard, while other adjacent industrial parks include The Penang International Technology Park (4.5km) and Penang Science Park (10km).Eco World Development Group Bhd is a world-class developer most recognised for their green, sustainable townships throughout Malaysia.
