As the name suggests, H2O Residence @ Ara Damansara (also known as H2O Residence) is a development inspired by the element of water. From its eye-catching façade designed to resemble interlocking ice cubes to the many water-based facilities within, it’s the first-of-its-kind in Malaysia.

Developed by Epoch Property Sdn. Bhd, a subsidiary of Titijaya Land Bhd., the project was launched in 2015 and completed in 2019 with the delivery of the final block, Mizu Residence.

H2O Residence was developed by Epoch Property Sdn. Bhd., a subsidiary of Titijaya Land Bhd. Spread across 6.04 acres of freehold land in Ara Damansara, the project has a gross development value (GDV) of RM794.1 million. Development commenced in 2015, and completed in 2019.

H20 Residence embodies elements of the numerous water-themed facilities.

Inspiration from the water element is evident from the resemblance of interlocking-ice cubes in the façade, lines of architecture and the numerous water-themed facilities. Units are designed with tall glass windows to allow ambient light in, while open spaces, pockets of air-wells and natural ventilation openings surrounded by lots of water and water features, give the place a breezy resort feel.

Amenities are generous, with dedicated areas for outdoor exercise and relaxation, swimming pools with marine life display, children’s pool with water slides, barbeque area, viewing deck, floating cabanas and pavilions, and sunken gardens. A worthy mention is the aqua gym pool that is equipped with exercise machines such as treadmills and trainers.

H2O Residence being a high-density development consists of two entrances. There are 21 floors on each block, which includes the carpark and podium levels. The housing units take up 15 levels. Externally, it appears as if there are 8 blocks. In actual fact, there are 4 V-shaped blocks – Acqua (Block A), Coral (Block C), Dvina (Block D), and finally Mizu Residence (Block B).

“Mizu” translates to water in Japanese. It was reported that the developer had adopted Japanese industrial standards in the development and management of this block, perhaps targeting the large Japanese community in the adjacent Saujana area.

Built-up ranges from 449 sq ft for the SOHO units, up to 1,500 sq ft for the serviced apartment units with a choice from 1 up to 4 rooms. All units facing inwards get to enjoy the luscious water features and landscape that runs parallel to the blocks, while the units facing outwards get exceptional views of the surrounding areas.

Blocks A and C face the east towards Subang Airport, while Blocks B and D face the west towards the greens of the Saujana township. In the original site plan, there was supposed to be 2 pedestrian link bridges, one connecting to Tesco on the east side and another connecting to the west side towards Citta Mall. This much-anticipated amenity has yet to materialise.

H20 Residence focuses on the numerous water-themed facilities.

Block A houses the bigger units with only 16 units per floor, while Block D has the highest density with 33 units per floor. Meanwhile, Block B and Block C have 20 to 23 units per floor. The service apartments come with 2 carparks, while the SOHO units come with a single carpark. Units are semi-furnished with air conditioning units, fridge, and kitchen cabinets.

There were also sales incentives by the developer such as 7% Bumiputra discount, low booking fees, and early bird discounts. Titijaya Group also launched a homeownership campaign for its developments partnering Maybank Islamic called HouzKEY offering up to 100% financing amongst others. Coincidently, H2O has a dual meaning – Haus2 Own.

H2O Residence is located at the mouth of the Ara Damansara township, which is one of the last parcels of freehold land in northern Petaling Jaya. Ara Damansara itself is a well-developed township with many amenities and eateries. For convenience of the residents, there are good facilities in the vicinity such as malls, hypermarkets, hospitals and schools. It is also strategically well connected to many other townships such as Tropicana, Subang Jaya, and Kelana Jaya.

H2O Residence is located at the mouth of the Ara Damansara township, which is one of the last parcels of freehold land in northern Petaling Jaya.

The location of H2O Residence is good due its easy access to and from many major highways in the Klang Valley. Jalan Lapangan Terbang Subang, one of the more popular access roads into Ara Damansara, connects H2O Residence to the Subang Airport, the New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE) and the Federal Highway. It is also accessible via the Lebuhraya Damansara-Puchong (LDP) and New Pantai Expressway (NPE).

However, it should be noted that Jalan Lapangan Terbang Subang tends to have a lot of infrastructural work in its path, making it prone to flooding and bad congestion. H2O Residence is also very close to the main road leading in and out of Ara Damansara, so the noise from the traffic can be a bother for some.

For public transportation, the Ara Damansara Light Rail Transit (LRT) station on the Kelana Jaya Line is less than 3km from the premise, which travels towards Petaling Jaya, KL Sentral, up to Gombak, and conversely to Subang Jaya, USJ, and Putra Heights, which is an interchange station to the Ampang Line.

Ara Damansara is a much sought-after piece of real estate in Petaling Jaya with a significant number of upmarket and trendy housing developments.
