Seri Gading is an area of 192 square kilometers, that lies within the district of Batu Pahat, in the state of Johor. The meaning of the word Seri Gading means “Attractive Ivory” in Bahasa Malaysia. This name was given to Seri Gading when one of the Malay Sultans, Sultan Ibrahim was on a hunt and was suitably impressed by the quality of the ivory.
